Build A Superhero Body

When you think about your ideal physique, what comes to mind? For me, I picture broad shoulders, a small waist, and strong glutes and legs.

This is the X-frame physique, and if you weren’t born with it, you can build it!

You can create the appearance of a small waist by building your upper and lower body carefully, paying special attention to the muscle groups and even specific areas of a muscle to develop.

We have the ability to create our own masterpiece that we get to wear with us wherever we go. Today, I have chosen my favorite exercises for building an impressive physique.

These can be done as a workout or you can sprinkle these into your current routine.

(video below)

Favorite “X-Frame” Exercises:

1. Wide pulldown, scapular retraction
2. Poliquin raise
3. Rear delt press
4. Half rep hip thrusts
5. Hack squat on toes
6. Nordic curls
7. Quadruped vacuum

Don’t forget progressive overload. This isn’t complicated, so don’t worry! All you need to do is increase volume or amount of weight lifted per exercise each week.

📝 Think about around a 5-10% increase, on average during a training block.

Add in a de-load week between training blocks to allow your body to recover and to allow the muscles to become re-sensitized to lifting.

This means you can start out your next block at a much lower volume to be able to repeat the process of progressive overload.

If you want to see a blog post or video about this, please let me know!

Until next time, train smart and train hard!
